During Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Open Doors Slovenia 2013, approximately 20 residential buildings and 10 public/commercial buildings which incorporate nearly zero energy design features will open their doors to the general public and building professionals. The objective is to enable people have direct experiences of these buildings to inspire them to adopt nearly zero energy ambitions when designing, buying or refurbishing their own buildings.
During Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Open Doors Ireland 2013, approximately 30-40 residential buildings and 10-15 public/ commercial buildings which incorporate nearly zero energy design features will open their doors to the general public and building professionals. The objective is to enable people have direct experiences of these buildings to inspire them to adopt nearly zero energy ambitions when designing, buying or refurbishing their own buildings.

"Skoraj ničenergijske hiše: Že danes obiščite hiše prihodnosti« je projekt, ki ga je finančno podprla Evropska komisija v okviru programa Intelligent Energy Europe. Širši javnosti želimo omogočiti obisk novih in prenovljenih stavb, s poudarkom na skoraj ničenergijskih standardih. Osrednja ideja je, da bodo obiskovalci dobili uporabne in neodvisne izkušnje na področju skoraj nič-energijskih stavb. Med obiskom se bodo seznanili z življenjskimi, delovnimi in gradbenimi izkušnjami lastnikov stavb.

We will organise doors open days in 10 EU countries in November 2013 and 2014. During these events both public and private actors can visit new and refurbished houses and public buildings, highlighting nearly zero energy standards. The Swedish events takes mainly place in Kalmar, Kronoberg and Blekinge Counties. In Sweden the initative is supported by IEE and by the Swedish Energy Agency.

The first two weekends in November (1-3 and 8-10) the German Doors Open Days in nearly zero energy buildings will take place in private and public buildings in Saxony and Baden-Württemberg. Come and join this event, either with your own house participating in the campaign or as a visitor learning from homeowners, builders and architects about the experiences they made. Visits are free but registration is mandatory.
Ecobouwers Opendeur - visit today the houses of tomorrow - is a Doors Open Days event taking place in the weekends of 1, 2, 3 and 9, 10, 11 November in Flanders and Brussels. You get get non-commercial hands-on-experience with nearly zero energy buildings. During a visit, you will get to know the living, working and building experiences of the owners and builders. Visits are free but subscription on the website is mandatory. Visit more than 150 houses.

The goal of the workshop is to introduce IEE project SDHplus to Croatia, a modern principle of using solar energy in district heating with a large potential in Europe. Successful experiences in different European countries will be presented, along with the situation in Croatia. The second European study tour will be to the CIEM and CIRCE buildings in Zaragoza, Spain. The CIEM – Centro de Incubación Empresarial Milla Digital is an office building developed by the City of Zaragoza. The CIRCE – Research Centre for Energy Resources and Consumption, Centro de Investigación de Recursos y Consumos Energéticos, is an office and laboratories building, and was funded by the EU using FEDER funds.
Since 2007 the Local Renewables conference series represents an international forum for discussion and exchange among policy-makers from various level of government, energy experts, energy services providers, researchers and business representatives. Every year the Local Renewables Conference analyses a different topic linked to renewable energy.
