Interreg IV 2007-2013
Interreg IV is the European Territorial Cooperation Objective of the Structural Fund policies for the period 2007-2013. The Interreg IV programmes relevance to local and regional energy action include:
- Interreg IVA Programme: the Cross-Border Territorial Cooperation Programme for Northern Ireland, the Border Region and Western Scotland. The overall aim of the Interreg IVA Programme is to: Support strategic cross-border co-operation for a more prosperous and sustainable region.
- Interreg IVB North Sea Region Programme: which works with cutting edge policy areas in regional development through transnational projects.
- Interreg IVC Programme: It aims, by means of interregional cooperation, to improve the effectiveness of regional development policies and contribute to economic modernisation and increased competitiveness of Europe.
