In 2002, Lund participated in the "In town without my car!" campaign for the third time. The City also participated in the European Mobility Week initiative. The aim of Lund's communication strategy in the framework of the European Mobility Week 2002 was to reach out to most of the households in the municipality with the programme and to give visibility to the event with advertisements and posters. During the week the municipality wanted to show different aspects of transport and environment. Different local partners were responsible for each day of the Week. The mobility centre in the municipality coordinated the whole Mobility Week. Some common communication efforts were made by the National Road Administration (poster and website).
