Report: T@W - Sustainable Energy Technology at Work on the market generated by the EU Emission Trade Scheme and the linked CDM and JI market

The T@W - Sustainable Energy Technology at Work project was supported by the European Commission Energy & Transport DG under the Sixth Framework Programme, Contract No: TREN/05/FP6EN/S07.55796/020065.

The key objective of the T@W project was to facilitate the entry of European manufactures of sustainable energy technologies (SET), know-how and European research results into the emerging markets, provoked by the European Union Emission Trade Scheme (EU ETS) and Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) markets in Asia. An essential element of the project was to create linkage between EU suppliers of sustainable energy equipment and the market actors on the respective climate markets, EU ETS and CDM. The website provides comprehensive information on European SET technologies available for project developers at the EU ETS and CDM markets, including an Assessment Tool.

An inspiration for the various market actors in Europe and the world

This publication Sustainable Energy Technologies / RTD practice at the ETS and CDM markets evaluates and reviews the results of the T@W activity in order to extract lessons and compare observations in the targeted regions within Europe and Asia with a view to identifying the best ways to promote SET with an EU perspective. It aims to be an inspiration for EU ETS companies around Europe.

In addition, this publication introduces the SETatWork: Sustainable Energy Technology at Work project, which continues these activities with support from the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), with an extended focus on energy efficiency in industry and the use of polygeneration in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
