According to the motto "Think Globally Act Locally" on 20th of April 2006 in Czech Cieszyn and on 21st of April 2006 in Cieszyn an International Student Conference took place in the field of Balanced Energy "Renevable Energy in Theory and Practise". Organizers were Association TRIANON - Czech Republic, Association Ekoenergia Cieszyn - Poland, Administrative District of Cieszyn. The conference was organized within a framework of the Regional Center of Education for Balanced Growth.
Pupils and students from Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia participated in the Conference. Honorary patronage of the conference took came from Member of the European Parliament Professor Jerzy Buzek - Poland, Jaromir Kohlicek - Czech Republic, Foreman of Administrative District of Cieszyn Witold Dzierzawski.
This conference becomes more and more popular each year; this year 160 took part, compared with 40 participants last year. The European Commission approved of the International Pupils Conference as an official Sustainable Europe (SEE) Energy Day.

Events connected with conference on 21 April 2006:
All topics were presented by pupils and students, and addressed to their contemporaries. In the conference representatives of autonomy, governmental institutions, representatives of power industry and companies connected with renewable energy took part. An interesting discussion and exchange of opinions also took place. In parallel with the conference was an open day of for the Solar School in Cieszyn was organised, enabling youths to visit the Workroom of Energy and Renewable Energy Sources Respectation. During the conference a presentation was made on "Era of Hydrogen". Young people were able to see a Model of Pure Energy that is composed of photovoltaic cells, electroliser PEM, tanks for oxygen and hydrogen and fuel cell PEM. They also had an opportunity to listen to a lecture about it. A presentation entitled "Build Your Own Solar Collector" was realised by active youth participation.
At the same time a "Day of Energy" for younger pupils was organised. The children were introduced to energy, saving energy and the influence of energy on the environment. A series of lectures included one on the educational programme KidsCorner.
During the conference a Scientific Committee was established to realise IV Conference in 2007. The Comittee includes authorities from throughout Europe. Organizers expect that this conference in Cieszyn will have a much wider range in the future and will concentrate more pupils and students from throughout Europe. For young generations this is a very important climatic Europe and World future. The wish of the organisers is that Cieszyn, a historic town of meetings, will in the future be a meeting place for youth from all over Europe, for them to discuss such an important subject.
