Synopsis
The aim is to provide electricity for the 21 (spring 2002) EVs of Werfenweng from a 100% renewable source, solar power, i.e. photovoltaics.
Some 20 solar panels produce 2,000 Watt of electricity. All EV running in Werfenweng can be charged conveniently by 230 Volt-plugs. There is no charge, users only have to register at the municipality.
Furthermore, an electricity meter shows the amount of electricity fed into the grid.
All parts of the charging station have been produced in Salzburg.
The project is very well replicable to other communities with a EV fleet.
Target groups: tourists - municipal staff - residents
Fields: responsible car use / mobility plans
