TRANS-TOOLS is a research project co-funded by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme for Research and Development. TRANS-TOOLS aims to produce a European transport network model covering both passengers and freight, as well as intermodal transport, which overcomes the shortcomings of current European transport network models. TRANS-TOOLS involves 8 partners from 6 European countries. It started on 1st October 2004 and has a duration of 24 months.
