Partner Search Request: Based heating of public buildings of mountain communities in wooded areas, Italy

Vega Form srl, Italy is looking for partners for an EC-funded project. The project proposal takes point of departure in the EC's intentions to recommend specific obligations on public authorities to apply in public buildings the measures of energy efficiency, promoting small-medium scale renewable energy projects as stated in the EU Green Paper on Energy Efficiency. The technology focus is on RES heating of public buildings.

Objective is to substitute, in heating the public buildings, the fossil fuels and electric power with renewable wood chips, made from fallen dead branches and leafy boughs, as wood waste in cleaning and maintaining operations to wood paths. The action entails these objectives with a view to facilitating:

1. the use as heating fuel of waste results of yearly wood paths cleaning operations from fallen leafy boughs to maintain travelling over their, to reduce the wood fire risks, creating and implementing actions with the perspective of an integrated territory resource planning.
2. the protection of environment, by introducing good practices and efficient technologies with meaning of decreasing environmental impacts in protected areas faced with restrictive environmental legislations.
3. the removing of the barriers between municipalities, owners and protected area authorities designing standard procedures of wood clearing and utilization of produced waste.
