Biodi Resources is based in Goose Bay, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada (eastern Canada). It has been working on a duel purpose wood products and wood pellets plant and is now on the threshold of actually building the plant and getting into production. Biodi Resources aims to be producing high grade premium wood pellet - low ash, no binding agents, no reclaimed material, no bark, low moisture content; pellets will be hard and well formed, and not susceptible to natural breakage - size 6mm to 10mm diameter. Biodi Resources expects to be capable of producing in retail bag or in bulk. Its production rate will be up to 200,000 tons per year of premium grade and 100,000 of industrial grade pellets.
Biodi Resources are seeking a business relationship with wood pellet importers for its production of wood pellets. For sizable annual orders it intends to offer attractive discounts and provide you with a dependable long term source of high quality pellets which in turn will give it predictable volume expectations.
While preparing to get started, Biodi discovered that there was a much larger feedstock of freshly harvested softwood timber available to it than it first anticipated, and this caused it to reconsider the size of its new plant. Biodi indicates that it is developing its own local market for wood pellets but find itself with far more production than what it needs for its local market at present and in the future.
To take advantage of this opportunity, Biodi is evaluating whether to include one or more additional pellet production lines and with this added output it is trying to assess the demand for additional pellet fuel to support its investment.
