ManagEnergy ran the KidsCorner Photo and Drawing Competition for the first time in 2006 and has repeated
the Competition in 2007. The 2007 ManagEnergy KidCorner Drawing and Photo
Competition competition was launched during Education Today
for Tomorrow's Energy Users on 30th January and will run until 30th July. Full
competition details were available on the website in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Danish, Dutch,
Portuguese, Greek and Polish. As in 2006, 12-15 year olds were asked to submit a photograph
illustrating sustainable energy, 7-11 year olds had a new challenge; they were asked to design
a new character for one of the games in the KidsCorner website.
The competition also offered a great promotional opportunity for local energy actors, as described by Roger Coombs during the launch in January 2007.
The winners were selected via independent judging by members of the ManagEnergy Reflection Group. ManagEnergy congratulates the winning pupils and schools, as well as the local and regional energy actors involved in organising the local competitions that resulted in the winning entries. Special thanks must also go to all the Local and Regional Energy Actors throughout Europe who organised regional competitions on behalf of ManagEnergy.
