Development Agency North DAN ltd has decided, after carrying out a study on mini CHP and small scale CHP power process plant, that it makes sense to improve existing processes from the energetic, environmental and economic point of view. They have defined the negative points of the process, the main one being in the thermal block of the gas motor which results in loss of waste heat from the exhaust gases and also reswults in emission of CO and CO2 and NO2 . Their project involves 2 faculties in Zagreb, which would work to improve existing technology processes and also develop a modern regulation system to enable automatic process control.
They also want to modify the existing CHP block process plant into a CHPC process plant and develop the CHPC to be used in the district heat and cooling systems, as well as adapt the same process plant to be able to function in new working conditions and to be optimized from the energetic and economical point of view.
