Ocean Electric Power aims to improve the ability to harness renewable energy from the waves. To do this they will:

• Analyse, develop and implement a transferable methodology for marine mapping
• Understand and quantify relevant issues including the security of supply, the environment, economic growth, decommissioning and safety
• Gather reliable market data on the best technologies for particular sites
• Contribute to developing the regulatory framework and reducing the administrative burden in respect of planning procedures, permits and international trading
• Improve market transparency on tariffs and develop intelligent grid management and pricing
• Explore innovative financing schemes for RES-e project developers, including cooperative project financing
• Enhance professional skills and knowledge through onsite training on grid connection, design and approvals
• Share good practice on the competitiveness of the European RES-e technology market by collaborating with two other European partners.
