DISTAAM aim to use organic wastes (municipal solid wastes, agricultural and food by-products, sewage sludge, etc.) for ethanol, methane and hydrogen production through biological aerobic and anaerobic processes. Composting of by-products deriving from the aerobic and anaerobic treatments, MSW and agri-food by-products to produce high quality compost with disease suppressive effect toward soilborne fungal plant pathogen. Use of the compost in open field and nursery.
