Development Agency North DAN Ltd, Croatia, is looking for partners for an IEE project, FBEE.
The main aim of this project is energy saving and the increase of energy efficiency in the technological process of iron pirolize or iron melts. Specifically, the chamber blast furnace or chamber smelting furnace will be replaced by a low-frequency blast furnace, which is more energy efficient and exhibits a smaller loss of heat energy. This change will improve the energy picture and energy balance of the technological process. The entire technology process will also be optimized from an energetic point of view. The last, but nonetheless very important, aspect of the improved process will be a decrease of negative impacts on the environment; a decrease of air pollution emissions will improve the quality of the exhaust gases which are released in the technological process of iron melts.
A specific objective is the supply and installation of adequate regulation and measurement process equipment and process analyzers, which will be used for complete monitoring and recording of air quality and energy consumption. Based on the collected data, a complete statistical analysis will be conducted. The results of this analysis will be published on the company website. This project will involve the application of specific technical knowledge about adequate technology processes in the metallurgy and metal industry branch. The project includes a number of participants which will be responsible for all project activities. The participants will mostly be technical experts, but some segments will include experts of other profiles. The two biggest positive outcomes of this project will be an increase of energy saving and energy efficiency, as well as a decrease of air pollution and a better effect or impact on our environment.
The National energy institute and 3 faculties from the Zagreb University will be involved in this project.
