Partner Search Request: GEA-PLAN Project, Croatia

Development Agency North - DAN Ltd, Croatia, is looking for partners for the project, GEA-PLAN.

After conducting a detailed study on several geothermal beds, DAN's idea is to finance the necessary project documentation needed to uncover the possibilities of energy consumption of the geothermal sources in the project area. Most geothermal beds contain water whose temperature exceeds 120°C, and some of the beds reach temperatures as high as 170°C. They can therefore be used as sites for the construction or installation of several geothermal power process plants or can be used for agricultural needs. Local authorities have shown considerable interest in the proposed project, realizing the importance of the geothermal sources. This project will also include INA - the Croatian national oil company, because of its ownership of the concession for the exploitation of these energy sources. The Croatian national energy institute "Hrvoje Pozar" will also be included as a partner to the project.

The results of the projects will be:

• The preparation of one feasibility study
• The preparation of a technology and economic study
• The preparation of an environmental impact study
• The preparation of one energy map, in digital form, charting the hydro geothermal energy potential of the researched geothermal beds as well as other geothermal beds in the project region
