GLEEN, a UK energy agency, is seeking partner agencies for a proposal to establish web communities across Europe.
The three year pilot proposal is to work with three other agencies to design and build a powerful internet engine based on Web2.0 technology. Each agency will input into the design of the web pages for their area, recruit households to the communities, develop advice and installation services and administer the local site.
The target for each agency is 2,000 concrete actions per annum following 12 months set up. The indicative budget for each agency is about €190K of which at least €50K will need to be raised locally. The costs of building the internet engine will be borne centrally and will not form part of the local budget. The IEE application for the whole project will be €1m.
