Partner Search Request: Renewable Energy Academy

Bedford College Centre for Technology, UK, is looking for partners for a project that aims to support and stimulate sustainability and growth in the use of renewable and alternative energy technologies.

Project activity will include:

1. Stimulating the low carbon economy through business development and entrepreneural activities
2. Developing and delivering accredited training for installers of renewable energy systems
3. Working with Sector Skills Councils to deliver 'Competent Person Schemes' through the development of Occupational Standards
4. Increase awareness within the Construction Industry of sustainable building design and development.

Key Actions:

1. Provide advice, guidance and training to businesses to enable the growth of the RES industry, and support new business developments
2. Work with industry representatives (e.g. Sector Skills Councils) to establish occupational standards for RES installers
3. Develop and deliver accredited training for installers of renewable energy systems
4. Establish training networks within partner countries to develop the skills of RES installers to meet the expected standards
