Partner Search Request: CIPIEE-2008 STEER Energy in Transport, UK

The Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds, UK, is looking to join a project consortium to offer its expertise in the factors necessary for successful policy transfer between local governments and businesses.

The Institute for Transport Studies has extensive research experience in energy and environmental policy and understands the types of technologies and approaches that the STEER call is looking at. The Institute sees its expertise in understanding institutional constraints and the key drivers for successful policy transfer as being critical to the success of consortia looking to bid. In particular it would add to:

1. promotion of sustainable energy systems and equipment in order to further accelerate their penetration of the market, the marketing of more efficient technologies, awareness campaigns and the creation of institutional capabilities and;
2. development of information, education and training structures, the utilisation of results, the promotion and dissemination of know-how and best practices involving all consumers, dissemination of results of the action and projects and cooperation with the Member States through operational networks.

The Institute's team has expertise from political science, social psychology and economics.
