Greenfuel Oil Co, UK, proposes to make a significant contribution to the EU policy by helping achieve 10% target set for Biofuel use by 2020. This can only be achieved by using second generation feedstocks, and moreso feedstocks that are sustainable and ethical. To do so Greenfuel Oil Co believes that Goverments and investors need to be encouraged to see the huge potential of Algae farms. In doing so, it proposes to create capital projects to farm and process algae into oil suitable for use in biodiesel. The company expects that the pilot stage will prove the viability of these projects.
