AIV Formazione Scarl, Italy, was made in 1993 by the local Business Association in Villafranca di Verona (Italy). It is a non profit association aimed to answer to the training needs of local companies. Its specific objectives are:

1. to develop training projects and to improve cultural, civil, social, technical context in order to help companies, employees and citizens;
2. to develop vocational training courses for different target groups, at different levels and about different themes;
3. to support companies about training and social research services.

AIV is looking to participate in projects by offering:

• Training courses for employees and unemployed: The characteristic of AIV Formazione is its network of companies, all located in a particular zone of the Verona province, in the north east of Italy. These companies work in different economic sectors, but are linked by their location. In order to support their network of companies and the socio-economical context, AIV Formazione has managed, since 2001, the information point for young people (called Informagiovani) of the Municipalities of Villafranca di Verona, Valeggio sul Mincio, Sommacampagna, Sona e Povegliano. More over, AIV Formazione is recognized by Veneto Region as a training centre for young and adult learners. Thanks to this accreditation, it can provide many courses, totally free for learners and companies, about specific and different issues.
• Company consultancy: AIV Formazione organizes many seminars in order to disseminate information to its network of companies and to create a culture about: innovation for SMEs; supply chain; regional, national and European tax law; all themes of interest for local companies.
• Support for companies and schools: AIV Formazione is trying to support the local context linking the "knowledge" of the schools with the skills of the "companies". For this reason, it is very involved in the improvement and development of vocational training and guidance, both for young learners and for adults (employees and unemployed). It has a long and wide experience in courses aimed at the unemployed and women who need retraining and reintegrate into the labour market.

Most of the training activities developed by AIV Formazione are financed by ESF.

Since 1995, AIV Formazione has worked with the ESF designing, managing and developing vocational training courses linked to business and professional categories, coming not only from the zone of reference.
