Province of Treviso indicates that according to the programme priorities "Foster exchanges of best practice between public-sector bodies on energy-efficient public procurement" in line with Annex VI of Directive 2006/32/EC, the project proposal aims to overcome the limits in and some barriers to a spread, implementation and use of the Energy performance contracts (called EPC) specifically in the public administration as real estate managers and in general by other type of real estate managers, even in the private sector. According to experience achieved by the project partners through participation in previous IEE projects, the project partners aim to overcome some technical limits identified in the already existing EPCs, elaborating a 'new' type of integrated contract concerning at the same time the management of the building estate and the improvement of the energy characteristics of the buildings.
At the same time the proposal aims to define a new contract model for the management of the building estate including also the improvement of the characteristics of building energy performance (Building Energy Efficiency Investment Tools € Benefit) and some supporting planning instruments of a new type of contract for the management of the building estate, considering also the improvement of the energy characteristics of the buildings themselves.
The province of Treviso is looking for partners such as local authorities owners of real estate with experience and interest in the Energy performance contracts energy agency, organisations and institutions dealing with the issues of energy saving and renewables.
