Eaton is looking for a partner in the area of sustainable transport in one of the EU countries to become a part of the IEE- STEER initiative. Eaton has a number of existing contacts that Eaton but wishes to find another partner interested in working together to draft a proposal for the STEER initiative due on June 25th or other future initiatives.
Under the Energy in Transport- STEER program which is related to CIP IEE 2009 3.3: Alternative fuels and clean and energy- efficient vehicles, Eaton (both in UK and Poland) is looking to work with an EU partners such as a University, fleet operator, research institute o r city to promote and help facilitate the procurement of clean and energy- efficient vehicles in the fields of urban goods and utility transport.
They are particularly interested at opportunities targeting fuel saving (hybrid system) technology initiatives and low emission targets for Truck and Bus systems.
Applications of our systems:
For the Eaton parallel hybrid system, typical applications include goods transport, refuse trucks,
passenger bus transport, municipality and utility trucks. For Eaton Hydraulic hybrid, a typical
application would include refuse trucks. For Eaton Hybrid Plug-in, a typical application
would include utility trucks.
