Report: PREDAC - European Actions for Renewable Energies

PREDAC is a project which aims at promoting local development of renewable energies and energy efficiency in Europe. This is achieved by the action of 11 thematic working groups.

Objective

The involvement of local protagonists is highly important for future development in this field, and their role in the field of sustainable development is vital. The work programme is designed to enhance local stakeholders' actions.

PREDAC gathers actions to:

Methodology

The project wishes to make use of European know-how as a basis to remove some of the barriers in the development of renewable energy and rational use of energy. This project relies on the dissemination of experience gained by those European countries that have progressed furthest in these fields.

The objectives shall be realised through several communication tools, such as :

11 Working Groups, 23 organisations from 10 countries.

The project is subdivided in 11 work packages (WP).

The PREDAC consortium is made up by 23 organisations from 10 European countries (Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom)

The project is supported by the European Commission Energie Programme and ADEME (France).
