A series of renewable energy projects are proposed for Greenham Park which will allow the business park to become 100% renewable energy self-sufficient. A feasibility study examining the prospects for renewable energy at New Greenham Park and sponsored by the European Commission (ALTENER Programme), has recently been completed - Greenham REnewable ENergy (GREEN) Business Community. This project has investigated the practicality and viability of a large business community switching to 100% renewable energy supply and becoming a 'flagship RES community'. The study concludes that there is more than enough potential from solar, wind and biomass to match the needs of the Park for the foreseeable future.
