The symposium "Energy Education: role, actors and tools. European experiences" was organized by the Brussels Institute for Management of the Environment (IBGE-BIM). The aim of the day was to get a general view of Energy Education today and to exchange experiences of different energy-education projects. The morning sessions gave a broad view of what energy education implies. In the afternoon, workshop were held in 3 parallel sessions, each one of them covering 1 level of education: primary schools, secondary schools and adult education. A project fair presented the work of several organizations working on energy education.
This event included a presentation by Mr Gonzalo Molina Igartua, Head of Unit for Demand Management, Directorate-General for Energy and Transport, European Commission on "Who should be the energy educator? The energy agencies, the authorities or the teachers? View of the European Commission".
