Report: Voyager

The Voyage project has now ended; its activities have been followed up by the SPUTNIC project.

The purpose of Voyager was to create an open European Network of key actors of local and regional Public Transport for experience exchange, dissemination and consensus building. Voyager established a platform where PT stakeholders (operators, suppliers, authorities, researcher and users) air their views, give input on current and planned actions and ultimately provide recommendations to improve PT environment to a level that fully meets the transport user's requirement.

To achieve this vision, Voyager performed the following tasks over a period of 40 months:

The Voyager Network was co-ordinated by UITP and implemented by a consortium of 10 organisations that individually play a leading role in the development of public transport throughout Europe. Together they possess a broad spectrum of expertise and knowledge covering all aspects of public transport. The size and geographical distribution of members offered genuine pan-European representation providing both insight and understanding of local and regional perspectives on the issues central to network activities.
