Case Study: Improving the service in Public Transport - Belgrad, Serbia

Synopsis

Belgrad has a changing bus (110 routes, 1,300 km), trolleybus (7 routes, 57 km) and tramway (10 routes, 121 km) network. The market share of public transport has had a tendency to decline in the latest years, and it now represents less than 40%. It occurred as a consequence of the break down of the public transport system, of the small number of vehicles and of the cancellation of uniform tariff system. Several measures have be taken in order to improve the service in public transport:
