Synopsis
The Urban Transport Plan (Plan de Déplacements Urbains - PDU) of the Urban Community of Dunkerque(Communauté Urbaine de Dunkerque - CUD) lists the following commitments as part of its project of sustainable development within the urban area (Projet d'Agglomération):
Commuter travel is responsible for a great many of one-person car journeys. With a view to being consistent with its policy aiming to ensure a modal shift from private car to sustainable modes of transport, the CUD has drawn up a Mobility Plan for its employees.
The aim of this measure is to promote change in commuter behaviour for these kinds of journeys by encouraging the use of public transport, and by making employees the target group, especially within the context of the Mobility Plan for Employees (Plan de Déplacements d'Employés - PDE), also called Business Mobility Plan (Plan de Déplacements d'Entreprise).
Target groups: employers / employees - municipal staff
Fields: responsible car use / mobility plans - mobility advice & campaigns
