Case Study: European Mobility Week Campaign 2002 - Ferrara, Italy

European Mobility Week initiative: www.mobilityweek-europe.org

View the Case Study

Synopsis

In Italy, the context of the European Mobility Week 2002 was special as there was no national structure for the promotion of and/or support of the event, either from the Ministry of the Environment (as has happened in previous years on the Car Free Day) or from the associated National Bodies. As a result, the promotion of the initiative started from Ferrara Council, which arranged the translation of the logo for the event independently and made it available through its Web portal.

At a European co-ordination level, the charter supported different thematics associated to each day of the European Mobility Week. Ferrara followed the European charter:

Some permanent measures have been implemented on the occasion of the European Mobility Week 2002 (see "obtained or expected results in the case study").

Target groups: all citizens
Fields: mobility advice & campaigns

This case study is one of 175 projects from the Smile Project Local Experiences Database listed on this website.
