Synopsis
MobilZentral offers information on public transport, including personalised timetables fares of Styrian public transport, Austrian and European rail services, mobility services in general sells all tickets and takes in reservations rental service for bikes and bike trailers various mobility consulting services e.g. for people that have just moved, for companies and for schools.
MobilZentral was the first Austrian Mobility Centre, the precursors starting in 1997. It is the information office on mobility in the province of Styria and beyond. The start-phase was partly financed by the EU-projects MOMENTUM and CENTAUR. The Austrian Mobility Research operates the Mobility Centre, being responsible for day to day management as well as for strategic planning. The services are provided 64 hours a week, the number of contacts has increased from 200 in the beginning (1997) to 4,000 per month as of 2002.
