EUSEW Partner Search No 5: Small scale biomass applications in rural areas

Burgos Provincial Energy Agency (AGENBUR) is a SAVE Energy Agency created and ruled by the Burgos Provincial Government in order to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency in the province in 2003. The purpose of this initiative was to establish a new culture in energy consumption, saving and promotion of RES.

AGENBUR is now wishing to develop aproject is focused on the promotion of small scale biomass applications in rural areas, by means of a three pronged strategy based on:

• Implementation of innovative policies, such as ordinances and tax cuts and implementation of best practices in the rural sector.
• Analysis and description of training needs in the participating regions and courses aimed to municipal technicians, SMEs related to biomass installation and farmers in charge of the biomass supply chain.
• Awareness campaign aimed at the general and specialized public in the participating regions in order to increase the number of biomass applications in the region.

Partners sought include Energy Agencies, Provincial Governments, SMEs interested in biomass, municipalities etc.
