Severn Wye Energy Agency plans to resubmit a project which builds on experience they have developed in the UK in working with prisons. The project involves the achievement of an award for running an energy efficient prison and several elements of activity:
- sustainable energy education programme for prisoners;
- energy survey and improvement to prison buildings;
- behavioural change around prison buildings; training for employees;
- advice on energy saving for families of prisoners who may be suffering energy poverty.
They have a partnership developed already but need more partners, especially from new member states.
