The European Utilities Telecom Council is interested in developing ICT for smart distributed generation. The existing thermal network project kicked off in January 2009. The objective is to foster and promote large-scale deployment of smart domestic distributed generation and to promote innovative ICT solutions for energy efficiency by bringing together key players in the energy and communication sectors.

The first step is the gathering of information and experience of the requirements from energy companies.
