- Local and regional energy strategy/planning and management;
- Data mapping and benchmarking the energy use of public buildings;
- Energy efficient, sustainable and healthy buildings in different climate situation - in Nordic but also South European countries.
Energy planning is well developed in Nordic countries, but not all the EU countries have the same level of experience. The target for the Science Park, is to collect data concerning different methodologies used throughout the EU, analyze and implement the best and most suitable in their target region.
Improving energy efficiency is one of the most challenging objectives for EU cities and all tools that can help this process should be supported. Now the Scinece Park is looking for support for developing a map-related database concerning public buildings in the City of Tartu. They would like to cooperate with other municipalities throughout the EU to add more effort to theproject.
Energy efficient buildings have many names : Low-energy house, Greenbuilding, Zero emission house, Passivehouse - these are just some examples. But the overall goal for them is all the same - to save energy and environment and decrease the ecological footprint of modern living. In as far there are many names, equally there are also many different standards and concepts. Their suggestion is to collect details of these concepts and try to unify them in a sensible way.
Please let the Science Park know if you think that these ideas will fit your project proposal and lead to successful cooperation.
