Metal companies and their workers (plumbers, electricians, etc.) represent a suitable sector to cope with the foreseen requirements of new markets in the field of renewable energy, especially in maintenance and installation works.
They aim to:
- Recycle unemployed people from the metal sector towards new careers especially those related to renewable energies.
- Promote non-offshorable business.
- Guide entrepreneurs into the renewable energy business helping them through the process of creation and consolidation of the company.
- Assist and advise successful local companies focused on renewable energy in their international opening process.
Activities:
- Develop a study of the degree of incidence of the economic crisis in the metal sector from the point of view of unemployment and loss of competitiveness.
- Define the future market energy trends.
- Establish a Training Plan aiming at the redeployment of the metal sector workers affected by the crisis.
Training will be structured in two aspects according to the education level of the audience:
- Installation and maintenance of renewable energy technologies or any other kind related to energy saving as domotics for instance.
- Consulting, energy solicitors, energy managing systems, etc.
- Create a consulting office opened to the metal sector companies to solve any question related to the energy business including internationalization process of local companies.
