Type: PartnerSearch Expiry date: unknown Country: ITALY
Multimediamente wishes to define innovative policies involving local authorities and businesses (agro industrial complexes and factory-farm enterprises) to encourage reuse of food/farming by-products to produce energy to be used locally. By-products from food processing can be used as biomasses or to produce biogas. The aim is demonstrate that respect of EC Directives (98/08/EC, 118/06/EC and 2000/60/EC) could represent an opportunity for farmers and citizens reducing environmental impacts and pollution: public authorities should individuate financial incentives for businesses (ie reducing taxes for waste collection) in exchange of energy for outdoor/public offices lighting or heating. Will be analysed different agriculture production processes (rice, wheat, corn, etc) having as consequence the same economical/environmental issues.
