Agropolis proposes the above project that aims to generate added-value secondary products from food industry and municipal wastes.

The purpose of the planned project is

• to create a joint business model based on the recycling of materials in co-operation with SMEs
• to create an eco label for high added-value products made from the sideflows of food industry and biodgreable municipal waste in order to promote the significant penetration to market.

Possible products are e.g. green covers, growth media and growth promoters from waste-derived materials and biological fertilizers.

The project will be implemented and coordinated by Agropolis Oy in co-operation with SMEs and research institutes.

They are looking for European partners for the project application to Eco-Innovation programme.
