The Municipality of Trysil proposes a project is to build a strong cooperation platform to promote sustainability across European Mountain Resorts by providing consistent information for the tourist industry, tourists, skiers, snowboarders, etc. concerning their contribution to more energy and environmental friendly activities to help alleviate the climate change problem.

The project would develop a strong European network of organisations to develop criteria for the evaluation of the sustainability of mountain resorts, working closely with companies in the tourist industry.
