Wind and solar energy for demonstration at the Skegness Grammar school, UK
Type: CaseStudy
Abstract
12 % of the total EU energy consumption will by the year 2010, be covered by renewable energy sources. This is the objective that the Community agreed on in its White Paper on "renewable energy". At the same time, a European-wide action plan has been set up. In order to achieve these goals, local communities do need to actively contribute to this. In Skegness, at the Skegness Grammar School, a publicly funded foundation secondary school, it has been set up a promotional project based on wind and solar energy for demonstration and promotion purposes among young generations.
