Synopsis

This handbook has been prepared as one of the many actions carried out by the Education Institute of the Barcelona City Council to promote the celebration of the "In town without my car!" campaign. It represents an aid for classroom teachers, with ideas and reflections to prepare, live and evaluate the activities developed around "In town without my car!" and "European Mobility Week" campaigns. It is not a specific course, but rather a handbook of guidelines and concrete proposals for addressing the subject of education for mobility in the classroom. The following chapters are included:

  • "Reasons for a day without cars: for a sustainable mobility",
  • "In town without my car!" and "European Mobility Week": citizens' participation, a key issue",
  • "Ideas to work at school: collection of proposals",
  • "Annexes", with urban mobility indicators, important data, consensus documents, etc.
