Synopsis

The priorities of the municipality of Montreuil's transport policy are the development of intermodality and of the use of modes of transport that cause less pollution than private vehicles. The municipality is therefore committed to a programme of promotion and development of public transport services.The development programme has a two-fold objective: first to protect the environment and the health of the inhabitants of Montreuil, and second to meet their transport requirements.The different modes of public transport are: the traditional RATP buses (the Paris city and close neighbouring Municipalities PTO) and the underground, but now also "Tacos" (see below) and soon the tramway. There is also an improvement programme in progress for certain existing bus routes. The development of the public transport programme is made possible through a close collaboration with the RATP.
