Board of Municipalities for Public Transport - Region Oberes Rheintal Vorarlberg, Austria

Type: CaseStudy

View the Case Study

Synopsis

Board of 17 small municipalities orders public transport (bus lines) leading to an attractive, well-used public transport by buses.

The board of municipalities is the public transport authority (which is quite uncommon for Austria in terms of smaller municipalities). It orders, plans, markets, administrates and organises the bus system on its own.

There are always new incentives to use the bus (presents, special fares, possibility to take the bicycle aboard, etc.)

Target groups: residents
Fields: public transport
