EnerBuilding Project
The Enerbuilding project, co-financed by the IEE Programme of the European Commission, commenced activities on 1 November 2006, and has an overall duration of 3 years.
As choices made by end consumers are key for the development of energy investments in buildings, the project is aimed at raising citizens' awareness and knowledge on energy efficiency and saving in buildings, by providing information and assistance, thus contributing to overcome barriers obstructing investments in this sector.
More specifically, Enerbuilding aims to:
- provide end users, and families in particular, with the necessary information and assistance about the available technologies and systems that can be used in their houses;
- provide local authorities with the knowledge and the tools aimed at an efficient energy management of public buildings (schools, swimming pools, elderly centres, etc.);
- raise the awareness of young students to energy and environmental issues, thus proposing technical solutions aimed at saving energy and protecting the environment.
The Enerbuilding project has a transnational dimension and it is being carried out in 4 countries of the Mediterranean Area.
The project is coordinated by Adiconsum, Italy.
