An expanded and improved ManagEnergy Programme has been approved by the European Commission! The improved ManagEnergy Programme will see a number new services for Local Energy Agencies, including a new Sectoral Advice Facility, launched on 9 May 2007, under which local and regional energy actors (LEAs) that are members of the ManagEnergy Network can benefit from short-term external expert advice at no cost to their organisation. Other services that are being developed include training for LEA directors and other management staff, and development of ManagEnergy marketing support tools and Sectoral Information Kits.
Existing services will also continue, such as ManagEnergy Workshops and Good Practice, website maintenance and development, and organisation of the ManagEnergy Annual Conference.
Further details of the new services will be added to the website during Summer 2007. The new consortium contracted by the European Commission to provide these services includes 5 organisations from 4 countries and includes previous consortium members such as KanEnergi (SE), Swedish Energy Agency (SE) and CPL Press (UK), as well as new members Gruppo Soges (IT) and European Services Network (BE).
